Who Am I?!

What do you consider yourself?
I mean your race of course, because no matter how many times I am told 'you're British, you were born in the UK' I still feel UN-British. People ask all the time, where are you from, and I always recognise the foreign blood running through my veins instead of the country I was born and raised in. Is that wrong?

I don't know, but anyhow. Its me. Still. Forever.

1/4 Spanish-Trinidadian
1/8 Scottish
1/16 Italian
1/16 English
1/2 Nevisian

That's if you want to go into deep, technical, detail.
If not. I guess I'm more that the colour of my skin and the country I'm from.

I guess sitting here with the smell of jerk chicken and Roti filling my nostrils doesn't really enforce the British side of me!

Well I guess that we will never know what being British or Caribbean or African feels like.
I guess we'll only feel the tie to who we are.

The feeling that make you believe you are part of something.

Like when your grandma tells you how much you look like er sister or your mom telling you how much you look like your dad.

No matter how much you try to deny it, ( and its is most likely true)
you still feel a small tingly feeling of 'belonging'

I guess that is what i am.
